Dear Sir:
Our property on
1373 Horel Rd.
New Westm'r.
was sold without our promission for only $1880.00. For this amount for a new 130 feet double decker chicken house, which cost us over
$1500. and seven other chicken house, a barn, packing house, pump house and a full basement
living house with running water, and with many furnitures and farm equipments, I would
consider it very cheap. Will you please send me a list of the things sold and their
prices and what value each dwelling was.
Yours truly,

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
