File No. 9617,
Bridge River,
Shalalth, B.C.
May 28, 1945.
Dear Sir:
According to your letter of April 3, 1945 my property has been sold by you for the sum of $1,000.00. Although this sum is unsatisfactory to me at present I cannot do nothing to reject
this so I hope to settle it after war.
As I have mentioned before, I am here on a self-supporting scheme and have to support
my family. At present I am out of employment and need money so will you please send
all my credit balance in your office as soon as possible.

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
