Dept. of the Secretary of State,
Dear Sir:
Re: Your file No. 8698, 8699, 8701.
I have your communication of June 29th, 1945, reg. the property in the District of New Westminster.
It is referred to have been sold to the Director, Veterans' Land Act, this has been
done without my consent, as a owner of the said property I would like to have more
confirmed statement made.
You have stated in your letter that when the time arrives for an allotment of properties,
this must be determined by the directors, in my case I must ask you once again that
the said property is not for sale in which case, the property rightfully belongs to
its owner.
This must not be taken into consideration on the bases of allotment to discharged
soldiers.
This matter should be taken into immediate action, and not after the conclusion of
the hostilities as stated in your letter.
Sir I would be glad to hear from you immediately and also whom, I should contact,
in the Dept. Director of Veterans' Land Act.
Yours truly,

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
