Dear Sir:
I received your cheque but I am sending it back because I do not need it for the time
being.
You sold Lyton Hotel at only $125 that had cost me over $1100 and you sold the market rooms for only the price of the Automatic Gas Range Price
that was about $500.00.
I am not satisfied with what you have done to my business.
Yours truly,

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
