His family includes Hikotaro Sato (father), Tsuru Sato (mother; nee Tsuru Yamamura), Tsui Sato (wife; nee Tsui Tadakoro), Satsuko Sato (daughter), Misako Sato (daughter), Sayoko Sato (daughter), Sawako Sato (daughter), Sadakazu Sato (son), Sadayuki Sato (son), and Nishiko Sato (daughter). He lived in Cumberland, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Hamilton, ON.
