Scope and content |
This file includes an assortment of news clippings and notices of auction sales conducted
by auctioneers for the Custodian. Notable clippings discuss the "unlawful" approach to the sales, deportation policy,
and an early notice from April 1942 from the Corporation of Langley which states, "It is quite permissible for local farmers to buy or lease Japanese
farms without reference to the Custodian [...] It must be understood that Japanese
farmers are in no way under any compulsion to dispose of their farms."
