Transfer document is court document titled “In the Supreme Court of British Columbia
in the Matter of the Married Woman's Property Act and Awalt Hemminger”, December 8
1950, before the Honourable Mr. Justice Coady. Petition of Awalt Hemminger of Haney,
BC was filed on August 29, 1950. C.F. Campbell was Counsel for the Petitioner. The
respondent, Evelyn Caroline Hemminger (or Taylor) did not appear before the court
and appears to be under the age of 21. Her sister, Sarah Stella Mileta Taylor, was
over the age of 21 and was added to the petition as next friend of the Respondent.
The court ordered that Awalt Hemminger is solely entitled to said property (Lot 5).
