Notes |
Title document points to C65862E. However, C65862 is an empty pocket that in turn
points to C 65860. This document details the death of Lida Nancy Vanderburgh, who
possessed while alive a half interest as joint tenant in the property known as 'L
23 of L 1, 3, and 4 of BL 31 and 32 in the W 1/2 of S 20, T 12, PL 21428.' However,
this property has nothing to do with the property in question on title 617634E, which
is in fact L 1 of the SW 1/4, PL 8005. However, another adjacent indenture on the
microfilm roll, C65863E, does contain information regarding the latter property. Therefore,
title searcher assumed that this was the correct indenture.
Indenture C65863E is a Certificate of Discharge related to the Estate of the deceased
Annie Frances Neil, who is transmitting her half interest as Joint Tenant to her surviving
Joint Tenant and husband, James Lindsey Neil.
Market value is from Applications document. Market value is $2500 for half value.

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
