Scope and content	This file comprises one series containing membership forms of the Japanese Canadian Committee for Democracy; a newsletter of the Citizenship Defence Committee that pertains to privy council appeals, the engagement of an English barrister for the appeal, the Ontario provincial convention, and time limits on permits and placement allowances; and a memorandum issued by the Canadian Committee, World Federation of Democratic Youth concerning the deportation and internment of Japanese Canadians.
Name of creator	Keenlyside, John S. collected this archive after it exchanged multiple hands following a fire in the Supreme Court of BC at Victoria in the mid-1890s.
Immediate source of acquisition	The digital copies of the records were acquired by the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective between 2014 and 2018.
