Scope and content
This file consists of correspondence between T.G. Norris, Eikichi Kagetsu, and multiple government officials concerning Kagetsu's dissatisfaction with the Bird Commission's results and the possibility for appeal. Member of Parliament Angus MacInnis plays a large role in advocating for reconsideration of Kagetsu's case. Also included are discussions of preliminary arguments for possible reconsideration (e.g., the discrepancy between how much timber MacMillan has cut since the Custodian's sale versus how much timber was determined to be on Kagetsu's property during the hearing).
Name of creator
Norris, Thomas Grantham created this archive during his time as a lawyer and donated it to the Legal Archives of B.C. in 1989. The larger portion of this archive was transferred to RBSC in 1990.
