This item contains an article that pertains to the seized Salt Spring Island property of Mr. and Mrs. Torazo Iwasaki. The article explains that their lawyers are "seeking $1.5 million federal compensation" for the 640 acres and saying that "the secretary of state, acting in his capacity in the federal cabinet and as custodian of the property, 'fraudulently conveyed or caused to be conveyed' the property to Saltspring Lands Ltd. in which the late Gavin C. Mouat held a direct and beneficial interest."
