Yosaburo Ito
Ito was born on 2 December 1888. He was a farmer who owned eight acres of farm land
where he grew berries, rhubarb and other fruits. His family includes Asano Ito (wife),
Masae Ito (daughter), Kazumi Ito (son), Sadako Ito (daughter), and Takiko Ito (daughter).
His home address is listed as Rural Route 2, Mission City, BC. He was forcibly uprooted
to Picture Butte, AB and to 980 Rolland Avenue, Verdun, Montreal, QC. His listed seized
property includes: his home and farm at 1615 Horne Avenue, Mission, BC, sold to the
Director of the Veterans’ Land Act; shares in the Pacific Co-operative Union; farm
equipment; and household belongings including a gramophone and records. An electric
pump and water tank was stolen from his property.
