This file contains drafts of a brief “On the Oriental Situation in British Columbia
in the Year 1938” submitted by Halford Wilson and Harry J. DeGraves. Wilson reports the assessed land owned by Orientals at $1,250,000. Wilson also observes
that Japanese farmers own 45% of the small fruit farming in British Columbia. The
report also provides school demographics.
