Dear Sir:
I wonder if you could give me any information as to what the government is going to do with the Japanese fishing boats.
I would like to know under what conditions a man would be able to get one. I have had quite a bit of experience at trolling on the west coast at Nootka and Kyuquot Sound & also the Gulf of Georgia.
So if you could let me know where & how I could find out more about this I would be very grateful.
Yours Sincerely
Wm. Hagg

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
