Gentlemen;
We are a small group of Alberta fishermen and writing this inquiry with regard to the possibilities of fishing on the pacific coast, we would like to know if it is possible for residents of Alberta to obtain fishing license in B. C. and the cost of same to fish salmon and herring, we are british subjects and mostly of scandinavian descent.
We would also like information re. purchase or rent of Jap boats, if possible to purchase, what is the average price per unit, or if leased, what are the conditions of lease.
Yours truly,
H. Collingridge

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
