This file contains material pertaining to claimants of the Bird Commission. It includes the following: letters to claimants on behalf of the CCJC (dated 19 April 1949 and 18 November 1949) updating them as to the status of the proceedings (i.e., what the Commission has decided regarding valuation and some legal advice on whether or not the CCJC ought to vote to accept this judgment); an April 1950 report to claimants on what had been decided regarding awards, how such had been decided, how the CCJC made its decisions regarding accepting or fighting for more awards, and so on; detailed assessment not only of category claims (%) but also of different types of claims and findings of fishing nets, vessels, cars, real estate, etc.; and a transparent CCJC budget.
