This file contains documents concerning the Department of Lands, Victoria and their alleged intention not to sell any property to people of Japanese descent, as of 1947. This is outlined in Department of Labour correspondence, evidenced by correspondence outlining the case of Eddie Y. Hamakawa, a Japanese Canadian man, who wished to buy property in Victoria but was being refused.
