Scope and content |
This file consists of a Department of Labour file which contains representations, resolutions, and petitions from local government,
organizations, and individuals that discuss governmental policy concerning Japanese
Canadians. In particular, these resolutions discuss post-war "solutions" to Japanese
Canadian settlement, complaints about the speed at which the internment was carried
out, concerns over Japanese Canadian employment in canneries, and duress over the
separation of families. Also included are petitions advocating for the dispossession
and deportation in early 1942.
