Scope and content |
This item is memorandum, dated 08 March 1943, concerning the employment of those of
the Japanese race in the lumber industry in British Columbia. The Chiefs of Staff recommended that though there is objection to their employment
in the protected area, the same objection does not apply outside the protected area
"provided that adequate control and supervision are established particularly in the
summer months when there is increase fire hazard." This recommendation was approved.
