Scope and content |
This item comprises minutes of the War Committee of the Cabinet dated 22 September 1943 concerning the British Columbia Security Commission and the travel of people of Japanese descent in Canada. The minutes discuss the Defence Council's recommendation to amend the B.C. Security Commission Order No. 1 (New Series) to enforce more restrictive measures upon Japanese Canadians
and nationals. This proposal was considered and decided to be brought to the Department of Labour and Department of Justice for consideration.
