Scope and content |
This file contains documentation from Moichiro and Tsuma Tonomura’s voyage to Canada
in 1962. Despite having lived in Canada prior to WWII, the couple and their family
was deported to Japan in 1946. There they re-established their lives and began a successful
yoghurt company. Their desire to return to Canada, however, led them back to the country
fifteen years later. This file contains evidence of medical checks, transportation
receipts, visa applications, and customs documents . There is English and Japanese
language material.
