Scope and content |
This file consists of correspondence to John Eiji Tonomura in the 1950s. Despite being
born in Canada, John was deported with his family to Japan in 1946. John returned
to Canada after high school. This folder contains immigration and travel documentation
from this voyage in addition to correspondence (letters, postcards, and Christmas
cards) from his family in Japan. These is also correspondence from family members
who returned to other parts of Canada and the United States after the Second World
War.
