The collection consists of one sound recording of Sumi Tanaka (nee Sasaki) recounting
her and her family's experiences.

Name of creator |
Sumie Tanaka
(nee Sasaki) was born in April, 1918. At the age of two she moved to Japan to live
with her grandparents for fourteen years. At sixteen, she returned to Vancouver, BC
to work on Powell Street in shops owned by her father.
