Scope and content |
This file contains correspondence between the Provincial Secretary P.C. Richards and the Department of National Defence concerning a report in a 14 May 1942 issue of the “New Canadian.” Richards is “alarmed” by a report on the conditions of a Japanese Canadian labour
camp. He states that “the location of these camps and their size is carefully given,
thus providing excellent information of value to parashoot [sic] troops who might
be looking for reinforcements.”
