The Chairman.
Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of January 20th, I am still interested in the possibilities of obtaining a craft capable of serving me in the duties of commercial fishing.
Trusting that you will furnish me with all necessary information regarding the leasing or lending such craft to good Canadians for the duration of this war; also is such boats fully equipped with riggin and the usual fishing equipment that is needed.
Hoping to hear from you as soon as possible.
I remain, Yours truly,

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
