This file comprises various correspondence and other documents from July 1948 that
pertain to the following: property valuations and a memorandum of law to be submitted
to the Commissioner; the Japanese Property Claims Commission and a few of its claimants and their claims, such as George Yasaburo Nishikaze; P.C. 2483; files of the claims cases that were heard in Toronto; a cheque from the Custodian for the forcibly sold property of Shizue Oya; missing VLA farm appraisal reports; expenses for attending a Bird Commission court hearing; and lodging arrangements for John W.G. Hunter.
