Scope and content |
This file consists primarily of claims, dated February to July 1946, filed by Canadians
of Japanese descent to the Department of Labour documenting economic losses caused by resettlement and the forced sale of their property.
These claims include completed standardized forms with dollar values. "Evacuees" contain
both Japanese Canadians resettled in Canada and those who "voluntary repatriated"
to Japan.
