This file consists of Volume No. 5 of Department of Labour Intercepted Letters files. The file comprises Department of National War Services, Directorate of Censorship documents for intercepted letters written by Japanese Canadians from 11 December
1944 to 29 January 1945. These documents contain excerpts taken from the private communications
of Japanese Canadians along with comments from the examiners of the correspondence.
Some of the intercepted correspondence is labelled as "PRISONER OF WAR MAIL".
