Scope and content |
This item includes minutes of the War Committee of the Cabinet, dated 15 July 1942. These minutes discuss the conditions in Japanese work camps
on the Blue River Highway. Also included is discussion about the recommendations of the Departments
of Mines and Resources, National Defence, Labour, and Justice: (1) "that the Japanese be moved from the vicinity of the railway as quickly as possible,
and (2) that the Departments of Labour and Justice confer with a view to the provision of additional protective measures during the
period before the movement was completed."
