Scope and content |
The Tonomura family stand together with family and friends behind the casket of Mr
Tonomura (possibly Senjiro) adorned with flowers. Behind them is what appears to be
the Buddhist Church on Cordova Street in the Powell Street neighbourhood. The photograph
is mounted on matte board and in the lower right hand corner contains a stamp reading
"Empress Studio / Vancouver BC" and in the lower left corner contains an annotation
written in pencil that reads "Yokohama Japan / Shigaken Kanzakigun."
