Scope and content |
Photograph features a class portrait outside in Lemon Creek internment camp. Children
of all ages sit and stand in five rows and their teacher stands to the right. Behind
them are wooden buildings with windows and torn tar paper; further behind are trees
along the mountain. Written in blue ink on the verso is "1945 / Lemon Creek BC / John
Eiji Tonomura 10 years old / 3rd row 9th from the left / Top row / 3rd from the right
/ Setsuko Edamura." Written in black ink on the verso top right corner is "Present
address: 832 E. 37 Ave. / Vancouver, B.C. / PH. 325 9882."
