Scope and content |
This item consists of two documents detailing meetings at the Department of Labour in January 1942 concerning the following: government policy on Japanese Canadians,
specifically Japanese nationals; the "prohibited" area in British Columbia; the Unemployment Insurance Commission; "enemy aliens of other Nationalities" being barred from the "prohibited" area and
being differentiated between; the organization of a Civilian Labour Corps; and the
setting of a deadline by which Japanese nationals would be required to move from the
"protected" area.
