This sub-series contains seven Department of Labour files regarding the forced exile of Japanese Canadians and Japanese nationals by
the Department of Mines and Resources, Immigration Branch in 1946, the policies to do with the assets of the deported Japanese Canadians and
Japanese nationals, requests of deportation, the return of Japanese Canadians after
deportation, drafts of repatriation and resettlement bills of 1946, and the confirmation
of Canadian citizenship status of Japanese Canadians.
