This fonds comprises nine series pertaining broadly to the Office of the Custodian of Enemy Property, the forcible uprooting and dispossession of Japanese Canadians, the forcible sale
and disposal of Japanese Canadian–owned property, the forcible liquidation of assets
and property of Japanese Canadian companies, and the Custodian case files for Japanese Canadian individuals and companies. Material also pertains
to the control and treatment of enemy property in Canada and the United States; the administration, work, and closure of the Custodian's Office; the legal definitions of "enemy aliens"; and the Japanese Property Claims Commission.
