Scope and content
A notice from the Department of Labour, signed by T.B. Pickersgill, Commissioner of Japanese Placement, and dated March 12th, 1945. The report notes that arrangements are being made for Japanese nationals wishing to return to Japan, and that Japanese Canadians wishing to stay in Canada need to reestablish themselves east of the Rockies, otherwise their actions might be seen as non-cooperation. It also states that in reestablishing themselves now, there will be employment and assistance offered, as well as a moving allowance given.
Name of creator
Henry Wakabayashi is the founder of Pacific Liaicon Ltd., he has helped many major projects such as the Vancouver Sky Train, the expansion of the Vancouver International Airport and the Metro Vancouver drinking water treatment program.
