Scope and content
A letter, dated October 2, 1945 from Jisaburo (Jack) Wakabayashi and Shige Wakabayashi, Tashme, B.C. to the commanding officer of “H” Division, R.C.M.P., Vancouver. The letter states that at the time of repatriation they had signed the papers, being fearful of what would happen to them if they moved east and feeling that they had no alternative. It asks for the cancellation of the declaration of repatriation, and hopes that the letter will be given consideration.
Name of creator
Henry Wakabayashi is the founder of Pacific Liaicon Ltd., he has helped many major projects such as the Vancouver Sky Train, the expansion of the Vancouver International Airport and the Metro Vancouver drinking water treatment program.
