Scope and content |
A personal letter dated May 28, 1946, sent from Tashme, B.C. by Fred S. Saiga to Jisaburo
(Jack) Wakabayashi. The letter contains a personal account of a family’s last days
in Canada before getting on a boat to relocate to Japan. It describes the conditions
of their leaving and expresses regret, uncertainty, and a sense of loss, while wishing
the recipient the best of luck for the future. Letter is accompanied by an envelope
with the addresses “Fred Saiga, Tashme, B.C.” and “Mr. Jack Wakabayashi, to Noulton
Sawmills, Pritchard, B.C.”

is the founder of Pacific Liaicon Ltd., he has helped many major projects such as
the Vancouver Sky Train, the expansion of the Vancouver International Airport and
the Metro Vancouver drinking water treatment program.
